Hello! Who am I?

Hey! My name is Indy and welcome to my blog! I’m 20 and studying Optometry (all of that eye stuff). For a while now I've felt that it would be satisfying to document and share my journey as I develop from a undergraduate student into a Pre-Registration Optometrist and *hopefully* into a fully qualified Optometrist.

One of the main reasons I wanted to formulate this blog was to help promote Optometry as an accessible career choice to those who are uncertain on whether pursuing this niche is for them. When I was applying to study I would have really appreciated the chance to view life as an optom student and ask a few questions so optimistically this will become a platform to help.

I like to keep busy so you'll either find me in the students union office planning and organising events for our university applicant days or hiking on a mountain somewhere! On the weekends I work part-time as an Optical Assistant, something I've been doing a for a few years now, it's something that I really advocate to get a true flavour of the optics industry.

Outside of the lecture hall I am a complete food fanatic! So if you ever need some advice on where to eat in the West Midlands trust me to give you some great tips - (psst Wagamammas trumps all)..
